Multi-Modality Method
Whole Person Coaching
An integrative approach designed to support the whole person, with respect for each person’s innate capacity to determine their own direction and pace.

An Integrative Approach Rooted in the Full Human Experience
Whole Person Coaching is an integrative approach grounded in the understanding that people are complex, dynamic, and already whole, without asking them to become anything else. To support people in this way, Whole Person Coaching draws from multiple ways of understanding the human experience, including how we make meaning, respond to stress, relate to ourselves and others, and evolve over time.
While many coaches specialize in one or a few modalities, Whole Person Coaching brings several perspectives together in a way that is responsive and personal to each client. In my work with clients, these perspectives are held lightly and woven together through a coaching philosophy centered on self-compassion, awareness, and respect for each person’s ability to choose their own direction and pace.
At the heart of this work is an orientation toward integration. When different parts of the human experience are used to inform one another, people often notice more ease, clarity, and steadiness over time. Sometimes this is subtle. Sometimes it unfolds slowly. Sometimes it shows up in ways that are hard to name at first. For some, it feels like clearer thinking. For others, steadier emotions, more comfort in the body, or more space to be themselves.
Core Modalities That Inform How We Might Work Together
Interpersonal Neurobiology as a Way of Understanding Connection
Interpersonal Neurobiology offers a way of understanding how our minds, bodies, and relationships influence one another. From this perspective, wellbeing is supported when these parts are able to work together rather than in isolation. In my work with clients, this often shows up as attention to present-moment experience, nervous system cues, and the relational space itself. Compassion, curiosity, and connection support a sense of clarity without requiring any particular way of thinking or feeling.
Emotional Intelligence as Understanding Emotional Experience
Emotional Intelligence supports our ability to relate to emotions with awareness and care. In my style of coaching, this focuses on understanding emotions rather than managing them. Clients are invited to notice what they feel, or what they notice instead, and gently explore how that information may be informing the moment. Emotions, thoughts, bodily cues, and patterns are all valid ways of understanding what matters most to you.
Somatic Psychology as Listening to the Body
Our bodies often carry information about lived experiences, safety, and intuition. My style of coaching is informed by somatic perspectives and invites gentle attention to physical sensations and patterns, always at a pace that respects comfort and choice. This can support a more connected experience between thinking, feeling, and integration, while honoring that everyone relates to their body and its signals differently.
Positive Psychology as Meaning and Alignment
Positive psychology offers insight into wellbeing, meaning, and what helps people feel more alive and engaged. In my work, this perspective supports noticing existing strengths, values, and inner resources. Growth is supported through alignment with what matters most to you, allowing wellbeing to develop in ways that feel authentic and freeing.
Evolution as a Compassionate View of Growth
Rather than viewing growth as a series of stages to pass through, I coach through the lens of growth as natural evolution. Each phase of a person’s life simply is. This view supports self-compassion by honoring past choices and adaptations as part of their personal development. Through this lens, coaching becomes a space to notice what is emerging now, with respect for everything that has come before.
Narrative Psychology as Meaning Through Story
As humans, we naturally make sense of our lives through stories. The ways we describe ourselves, our past, and our possibilities shape how the present feels. When I work with clients, we explore these stories with curiosity and care, allowing room for nuance and complexity. As awareness grows, meaning often expands, creating room for choice, self-trust, and compassion, without needing to arrive at a single “right” story.
Expressive Arts as Another Way of Noticing
Some experiences are easier to understand through images, movement, metaphor, or creative expression than through words alone. Expressive approaches offer another way of noticing what feels relevant or present. Awareness does not need to be verbal, linear, or easily explained to be meaningful. In our work together, creative exploration is always optional and offered as one of many possible ways to notice what may be coming up for you.
Meta-Learning as Understanding Your Own Process
Meta-learning is about noticing how you learn and make changes. This shows up in my coaching as an exploration of what supports clarity for you, what creates pressure, and what helps you feel more settled and grounded. Over time, this can build trust in your own process and support growth that feels self-directed rather than shaped by outside expectations.
Language, Identity, and Agency in the
Coaching Space
Language plays a meaningful role in how we experience ourselves and our relationships. In our work together, attention to language supports awareness and choice. We may notice how certain words shape your experience and explore language that feels more accurate, supportive, or aligned with how you want to relate to yourself and others.
From the very beginning, the language we use to describe your experience is yours. Identity is approached through your own words, metaphors, and ways of understanding yourself. These perspectives are held in service of you, supporting clarity and self-understanding without defining you or deciding what matters for you.

Integration Your Own Way, in Your Own Time
Our work together supports you through multiple ways of understanding your lived experience, allowing different perspectives to inform the work as needed. Some sessions are reflective and conversational. Some are grounding and body-based. Some focus on emotional clarity, values, or meaning. The approach adapts because you do.
If this approach resonates and you’d like to explore what working together might feel like for you, the next step is to schedule a free, no-pressure Connection Session.
